The secrets of the masters of the far east... not so far afterall.

Today for the happy land post we will introduce a concept called opposite concentration.
I want you to take heed of this advice because it is one of the most powerful techniques you can implement to change your life dramatically and give you an almost perennial happiness. Never ending deep bliss...

So you want me to make you salivate some more or get straight to the main course.

Opposite concentration is a technique well founded in our culture- implemented in many forms of therapy including the most well known- CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy)
working with reprogramming your automatic negative thoughts, you can change the flow of negative pattern thinking which many assume to be instinctual/ uncontrollable, and replace these with positive happy thought.

This modern therapeutic technique is but an elaboration of something called dharana... the one-pointedness of the yogis (the guys in the far east who meditate and seek spiritual enlightenment)- one pointedness is another way of saying focus.
The use of this technique was to empower the practitioner with profound mental, and physiological control.... So not only will you get happy, but you will be getting incredible control over you mind and body, gaining unworldly focus!

What you must do is as follows...

1) Act normal

2) If a negative thought creeps up, try to capture it, hold it in your mind... and then eliminate it by thinking exactly the opposite of what it is.

3) so say you are angry. say to yourself mentally- STOP! analyze briefly the source of you anger, and then start thinking of say- Gandhi or Mother Teresa, think of compassion and love, let this replace the anger you felt.

And voila you are done.. Repeat this process for any feeling you experience.
